Lauryn Hill |
My very first Jazz Fest and I would definitely do it again, especially the Bassline arena where hiphop was showcased in a way never before...percussions infused with bass and songstress harmonies, hip-hop showed it's hidden dimension. Pharoahe Monch set the stage a flame, crowds on some other demonic high, and I was utterly transfixed by how much of a lyrical queen Jean Grae is! Also caught a high dose of nostalgia watching the great Bra Hugh's set...and a lousy glimpse of Lauryn Hill.
Overall,it was an amazing musical experience.
